Anti-Wrinkle

Anyone who is either experiencing or wanting to prevent wrinkles in the upper or lower face. Not suitable for anyone under the age of 18, pregnant or breastfeeding.

Botox can be used to treat several areas of the face and under the armpits.

Most clients choose anti-wrinkles injections to treat lines between the eyebrows, forehead and around the crow’s feet but anti-wrinkle injections can also be used on the upper face, lower face, chin and platysma bands (along the neck). Anti-wrinkle injections have also been used for masseter reduction, which relieves migraines and teeth grinding as well as under the armpits to relieve the discomfort of underarm sweating.

On average, clients see an improvement within two or three days post-treatment, and you should see the full result of the injections after two to three weeks. We might invite you to come back and see us after two or three weeks to check on the results and to make any changes to your treatment plan if required.

Please note that these anti-wrinkle injections may not completely ‘freeze’ the expressions, especially if we are making an effort to keep a natural appearance. If you are looking to achieve a more ‘frozen’ look this may not be for you, please discuss your requirements with our friendly team who will be able to advise on the best course of treatments for you to achieve your desired results. Depending on how much product is used, there may be only a slight reduction in movement.

This is not a one size fits all treatment and the amount of toxin used is specifically designed to your individual needs and expected results, which will all be discussed in your pre-treatment consultation with your aesthetician.

Results vary, but usually, anti-wrinkle injections can last anywhere between three to four months.

All makeup or skincare will be removed from the area then the toxin is measured and injected into the skin with a small needle. We do not use numbing cream with our anti-wrinkle injections as they are carried out with a very fine needle which can be tolerated by most clients.

Clients may notice some minor side effects such as initial swelling or redness to the treated area, but this will quickly fade within a few days.

We advise clients to avoid extremes of heat or cold, strenuous exercise as well as lying down or leaning over for four to six hours after the treatment has taken place.

As well as a thorough consultation with one of our trained aesthetic practitioners all clients wishing to have Anti-wrinkle injections will need to have a face-to-face consultation with one of our clinic’s nurse prescribers prior to treatment. We require a booking fee of £50 to secure your appointment and this is fully redeemable against your chosen treatment. Failure to give us more than 48 hours prior to cancellation of these appointments could risk you losing this deposit.
